We have co-produced a Celebration Pack with children and young people from armed forces communities for Month of the Military Child.
It’s for anyone who wants to enhance understanding, raise awareness, and celebrate unique experiences of children from military families.
From educators, professionals, and policymakers to wider communities across Scotland, here’s your chance to get involved!

It will be useful for teachers in schools, lecturers in colleges, or youth workers helping young people understand the wonderfully different communities we have in Scotland.
You may work with children and young people from military families and want to help their classmates better understand the lives they lead.
It will prove very useful for organisations that have military and veteran network groups or policymakers and their teams to enhance empathy and understanding.
You might have a business that’s close to a military base too, or know a colleague with a family member who is serving or has served in the British Armed Forces.

We’re asking them to consider the following – If you had to create something to help your friends understand your identity as a forces child, what would it look like?
The competition runs throughout the Month of the Military Child. The closing date for competition entries is 5pm on 29 April 2024.
