Influencing Policy

The needs and views of children and young people from armed forces and veteran families can often be missed when it comes to policymaking.

We are here to amplify their voices and make sure they are heard.

We have co-produced our approach to influencing. ‘A Force for Meaningful Change’ outlines what young people think needs to change.

Our five point manifesto is:

  • A strong evidence base
  • Upholding children’s rights
  • Positive mental health and wellbeing
  • A thriving education
  • Successful transition to civilian life

Where possible, we strive to embed our Combined|Force co-production model throughout our influencing work to ensure our own practice balances the lived experience of young people, with the learned experience of our staff.
