This annual document reflects the government’s vision for addressing Scotland’s pressing challenges and opportunities, particularly in areas such as social justice, green energy, and economic resilience.
The 2024 programme emphasises recovery and renewal, aiming to deliver on commitments to improve public services, reduce inequality, and build a sustainable, inclusive economy.
Overall, we believe the Programme for Government could have gone further to make Scotland the best place for children and young people to grow up, including those in armed forces and veteran families.
Our response focuses on the topics of whole family support and poverty, housing, childcare, and education.
We will continue to work with decision-makers to amplify the voices of children and young people from armed forces and veteran families.
