Have your say | Help forces families to get ready for Civvy Street finances.

We have received funding from the Scottish Veterans Fund to support families to get prepared for financial matters when the time comes to leave the armed forces.

The project will work directly with the veteran community to co-produce information, advice, and guidance for families before making the change to civilian life.

Here’s your chance to have your say | Get Involved

Veterans are warmly invited to share personal experiences of civvy street finances in lots of different ways:

  1. Participate in our Future Transactions Podcast – Work with Forces Children Scotland’s Communications team to share your story of managing finances on Civvy Street, through a twenty-minute audio/visual recording.
  2. Write a website article – Share your story of managing finances on Civvy Street in your own words in your own time, and most importantly, in your own way.
  3. Complete our online Survey – Have your say in a completely confidential manner. Complete our survey from the comfort of your own home.

From housing, mortgages, and energy to making the most of your savings, benefit entitlements, avoiding debt, and much more.

Future Transactions will provide an information hub of lived experience for forces families to learn from those who have made the change to civilian life.

Better still, signposting information will be provided to help families seek further information and support when required from partner organisations.

Our project webpage up and running by the end of February 2024.
