Take the survey

Hello there!

My name is Connor Malcolm and I am a PhD student at Northumbria University. And I am working with Forces Children Scotland to help understand and improve the lives of children of military families.

I am looking for volunteers between 11 and 17 years old to take part in in an online survey where you will answer questions about yourself like your age, gender, how you feel and your relationships to your friends, family and other people important to you.

If you take part, you will make a network of up to 20 people who are important to you, giving information about their age, gender and relationship to you. You will also give some information about your serving or veteran parent(s) or guardian(s) like what branch of the military they belong. And how close you feel to your friends, family and people you go to for support.

Then you will answer questions about your well-being and how socially connected you feel.

All of this should take between 20 and 30 minutes.

If you are interested in taking part, make sure you have a device with a large enough screen like a laptop, desktop or iPad.  And if you are under the age of 16 make sure to first ask your parent or guardian for permission before taking part.

You can then access the survey with this link: Click here for the link to the Survey.

If you have any questions, please make sure to ask your parent or and adult at FCS and they will be able to contact me for you.

You may decide not to take part in the survey, even if you said you would before. If you decide the survey is not for you may close the survey at anytime and your data will not be saved.

All the best,

Connor Malcolm
