Earlier this month, we brought a group of 14 young people from forces families together in Edinburgh for an action-packed residential programme. Read on for highlights from the trip, including productive daytime sessions and spooky evening activities.
Interested in taking part in a future residential? Send us an email to get involved!
This four-day residential allowed young people to connect with their peers, build skills and confidence, and have fun – all while influencing our work and future projects.
“The residential was a lot of fun. We learnt a lot and got a lot done but also managed to have so much fun in the evenings with all the activities we got to do!”
– Cadence, residential attendee

For our team, the residential was an invaluable opportunity to gather perspectives and co-produce resources to shape our wider offer of support for children and young people from Regular, Reservist and Veteran families.
We’re happy the trip was a success and grateful for the group’s reflections on growing up in forces families. Their contributions will ensure the work we do is on message, reflecting a range of experiences and resonating with young people.

Here are some of the other activities that were on offer:

Thanks to this brilliant group for coming along, our staff team, and the funders who made this resi possible: Army Benevolent Fund, Army Central Fund and Greenwich Hospital.
