Welcome to QVS Insights, a series of short podcasts delivered by Forces Children Scotland, thanks to funding from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust.
We have co-produced these podcasts with pupils from Queen Victoria School, which is a boarding school for children and young people from armed forces and veteran families.
The aim is to help young people who are about to join the school and their parents – to provide information that we hope will make the transition to QVS a little easier.
It’s also hoped to help peers from civilian/forces backgrounds to better understand how life at Queen Victoria School is different from their day-to-day experiences.
Podcasts were filmed in audio/film at Rebel Loop Studios in Glasgow.
In this episode, we talk to Katelyn, Alliyah, Alicia and Eva about their first day experiences at Queen Victoria School, and support received to overcome making big changes to adapt to a boarding school environment.
