I wanted to take a moment to say a bit more about who we are and how we work. It is so important when looking for a new role to find not just the right role but the right organisation.

We are a highly flexible, innovative and friendly small charity who are driven by a passion to improve outcomes for children, young people and families from serving, reservist and veteran families across Scotland.

Children, young people and families are at the heart of all we do, so our work is delivered where possible through a co-production approach with those we are here to serve. In practice, this means we listen to and work directly with children and young people to jointly design services and campaigns, devise our strategy and influence goals. This approach is crucial to who we are as an organisation.

Taking a rights-based approach is also fundamental to all we do, as is working with an understanding of the impact of trauma and difficult life circumstances, whether that is guiding our policy asks, delivering our mental health and wellbeing services or implementing our grants programme.

We are working hard to establish ourselves as the leading organisation in Scotland regarding children and young people from serving, reservist and veteran families. This means we love building partnerships with other organisations but it also means there is lots of cross-team working internally too.
