Tornado of change

Help forces children through their tornado of change

Disorienting, chaotic, overwhelming. For forces children, moving to civilian life can hit like a tornado. But you can help…

Can I do this? Why is this happening? How am I supposed to be?

We’ve all asked ourselves these sorts of questions. When we feel anxious, powerless or at odds with the world around us.

For forces children who have grown up with the familiarity and community of military life, these feelings often hit hardest when their parents make the move to civvy street.

It’s an experience that can be disorienting, chaotic and overwhelming. Like a tornado. But you can help.

By helping forces children prepare for the change, supporting them through it, and welcoming them into their new life, we can all do our bit to make things a little bit easier.

Watch the films and find out more.
