It’s time for another review of our one of the books from our Education Programme’s Resource Boxes.
This month’s book review by Jennifer, 15 from Edinburgh of The Running Dream by Wendelin Van Draanen:

“To begin with I thought that this might be a very sad book as Jessica, the main character lost her leg in a bad accident. She was very keen on running and thought that her dream of becoming a world class athlete was over.
However the story is really one of hope, determination, hard work and the value of true friends and teamwork. With all of these she eventually realised her dream.
This story shows us that no matter what happens, no matter what challenges we have to face it is important not to lose sight of our dreams and keep trying to achieve them.
I would definitely recommend this book to other teenagers.”
Keep an eye out for our another book review next month!
