Scotland’s Armed Forces Children’s Charity

Scottish Government Veterans Minister, Graeme Dey has launched the Veterans and the Armed Forces community – support: 2020 report today.

The report highlights the Scottish Government’s continuing support for the Veterans and Armed Forces community in Scotland and provides an update on this year’s achievements and work undertaken to improve support and access to services for our Armed Forces, Veterans and their families.

The Royal Caledonian Education Trust is mentioned for our work supporting service children in further and higher education through our partnership with SCiP Alliance in Scotland as well as our wonderful Resource Boxes that are currently being rolled out across community settings.

Additionally, the National Transitions Officer, Carolyn Macleod – who is currently seconded to the Association of Directors of Education in Scotland (ADES) from RCET – is also mentioned including her work on securing accurate data on the number of Armed Forces children in Scotland and where they are based.

You can find the report (and the section we feature in) here.
