Order your copy of our limited edition book, which will support children and young people from serving, reservist and veteran families across Scotland.
The book, published by Birlinn, has been written by Forces Children Scotland Chairman, Malcolm Noble (pictured above), and all proceeds from the sale of his publication, will be generously donated in support of our charity.
The Cruise of the Tantallon Castle takes the reader back to 1895 and has brought narrative, first-hand accounts, and pictures together to tell the charming story of an incredibly special journey made by five of the charity’s beneficiaries.
The beneficiaries sailed aboard the Tantallon Castle with former Prime Minister, William Gladstone, to perform Scottish music during the opening of the Kiel Canal ceremony, attended by heads of state from across Europe and convened by Kaiser Wilhelm II.
The performance proved memorable for our beneficiaries, who sailed in between a vast variety of warships and yachts whilst playing the bagpipes, cheered along by crews and dignitaries alike from across the world.
Here’s your opportunity to take this epic voyage once again and relive the experiences of our beneficiaries aboard the Tantallon Castle. Order your copy of this wonderful limited edition history book now for £30.00.
