Forces Children Scotland is supporting Children's Mental Health Week

Forces Children Scotland is proud to support Children’s Mental Health Week (07-13 February 2022).

Children’s Mental Health Week is a national awareness-raising campaign led by the charity, Place2Be, and the theme for this year is ‘Growing Together’.

Throughout the week, we will share different ways we are growing together with children and young people, from serving and veteran families, to help overcome unique challenges to mental health and wellbeing.

Here’s a sneak peek at what we will cover during the week.

Manifesto

One in six children and young people have a diagnosable mental health condition.

That’s why we are growing together with children and young people to amplify their experiences so they can get on the radar of decision makers.

Your Mind Matters

No child or young person should have to face mental health problems on their own.

That’s why we are growing together with children and young people to co-produce mental health support services for their peers and family.

Our New Strategy

50% living with challenges first experienced symptoms by 14 years old.

That’s why we’re growing together with children and young people to co-create a new three-year strategy to provide much more early intervention work.

Forces Life Project

Life in a forces family can present challenges to mental health and wellbeing,

That’s why we are growing together with children and young people to co-create a new board game and comic book to amplify their unique experiences.
